Frequently Asked Questions

If there is anything not covered here, email us at contact@memoryhole.app.

We are happy to help, even if you just have a quick question.

General

What is MemoryHole?

A personal web archiving service. Save web pages as they appear now, so you can access them later even if they're deleted or changed.

How is this different from bookmarking?

Bookmarks are links. If the page is deleted, paywalled, or changed, your bookmark breaks. MemoryHole saves the full page content, images, and formatting.

Pricing & Accounts

How much does it cost?

$33/year for unlimited captures.

Can I try MemoryHole for free?

Save up to 25 pages free.

Upgrade to unlimited captures for $33/year.

What's your fair use policy?

MemoryHole is for personal archiving: articles, research papers, blog posts, and similar pages.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You keep access through the end of your billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If MemoryHole is not a fit, email support@memoryhole.app within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you.

The extension captures the full page (HTML, CSS, images, fonts), takes a screenshot, and uploads it to your archive.

32MB per page.

Can I archive PDFs?

Yes. The text gets extracted, and it's searchable.

Does MemoryHole work offline?

No. MemoryHole stores archives in the cloud.

If offline access matters for your workflow, email us at contact@memoryhole.app.

In the meantime, you can export your archives and view them locally.

Where is my data stored?

Your archived content is stored on secure servers in North America, encrypted at rest and in transit.

We use a small number of third-party services for email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics. Those providers may store metadata, but they do not have access to your archived content.

If you want the latest details about our privacy practices, email privacy@memoryhole.app.
